What’s upon your head?
Through the generosity of the Lord, in Christ, we are crowned with many crowns.
For, the Lord Almighty, took upon His head a crown of thorns, made by the hands of men (Matthew 27:29), to bestow upon us the most magnificent Kingly crowns of the Lord Eternal. When, Jesus wore the crown of thorns an exchange was made, our sin was removed, redeemed, and replaced with the many crowns of the Lord. Upon this earth, His crown is our crown. Our true identity, as seen through the Father’s eyes, is displayed within the positioning of His crown upon our heads.
Our rightful crown is not one of sickness and disease, nor is it perishable
(1 Corinthians 9:24-25), but symbolizes everlasting life. Nor, is it a crown of thorns, but one purposely intertwined with the glory of heaven.
Those crowned, are not to pridefully strut about; instead, when one wears the crown correctly, it reflects all glory to His Majesty, Christ the King. After all, it is His crown to begin with. May we always remember to Whom the crown of glory truly belongs.
Woe to those who wear the crown of pride, for they will be trampled. (Isaiah 28:1-3)
The crown of the Lord that we inherit is not self-seeking, nor obtained by good works. It is available only through the Son’s divine exchange.
In the world there are many counterfeit crowns; however, none can compare to the true value obtained through the positioned crown of Christ. Not riches. Nor title. Nor deed. It all falls short of the glory of the Lord.
When we become the heirs of the King; supernaturally, His crowns are placed upon our head. In the Father’s eyes, we are divinely regal. Throughout life’s journey, what we envision to crown our head, dictates our destiny and direction. How we live, reflects the crowns we embrace. Our thoughts, are reflected in our choices, and our choices in our actions. It is through our actions the heart of the King is revealed, or not.
Jesus made a glorious exchange for all that believe. In the transition from death to eternal life , we have inherited the crowns of the King of kings…a crown like no other.
The Crown of Life
Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
James 1:12 NKJV, Revelation 2:10 NKJV
The Crown of Glory and Honor
What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?
For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
Psalm 8:4-5 NKJV, Hebrews 2:7
The Crown of Loving Kindness and Tender Mercy
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies…
Psalm 103:4 NKJV
The Crown of Rejoicing
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? 1 Thessalonians 2:19 NKJV
The Crown of Righteousness
Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:8 NKJV
The Crown of Glory
And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away. 1 Peter 5:4 NKJV
There will come a day that we shall bow before the throne of grace. In a moment, marked by celestial time, we will return unto the Lord what was rightfully His. Not a crown of thorns, but the crowns of great divinity once transposed unto us, His heirs. The circle of exchange will be complete, for in awe, we shall give back unto the Righteous King of the universe His crowns, crowning Him with all glory and honor. (Revelation 4:10)
For a day will come, Christ will return to the earth, and on that day, a crown will be upon his head. No, not one of thorns, but a crown of great glory… a culmination of all glory, and honor, and power. (Revelation 6:1-2)
In looking at Revelation 6:2 NKJV, it reads: “And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.” “A crown was given unto Him.” Given? Curious? Which crown? Could it be a crown molded and made from the crowns laid before the throne? The crowning moment of completion - bringing to full circle - glory, honor and power to the One who sits on the throne. The Rider - Faithful and True.
Until His coming, I ask, “What is upon your head?”
Behold! You have been adorned with the crowns of the King.
I implore you, take captive the imposter, remove all counterfeit crowns, and live victoriously as rightful heir. A life reflecting glory, and honor, and power to the King!
Prayer
Father,
I am in awe of You! Your goodness! Your mercy! Your grace! Your generosity!
I marvel at how you see me.
In Christ, I am.
I repent, for not seeing myself as You see me, and taking on the image of the imposter.
I acknowledge the times I took the glory; instead, of giving all glory to You.
I apologize to You, My King. Please, forgive me.
Through it all, still, You love me. Thank You, Father.
In the Name of Jesus, I lay down the crowns of this world, and give You all the glory.
Lord, rebuke the crown of sickness and disease, removing it from my body, and our nation, this day. I implore You, please bring healing to our land, Oh God.
I surrender all to You, My Majesty, Christ the King.
Wash over me, I pray. Bless this day with a clean, fresh start in You, Lord.
May my life reflect all glory, honor, and power, to You, My King.
Help me to see myself as You see me.
The magnitude of that thought overwhelms me.
For, in Christ, You have surrounded me with Your glory.
The King of kings, has bestowed upon me - a crown like no other!
Selah!
Amen

Whose glorious beauty is a fading flower
Which is at the head of the verdant valleys,
To those who are overcome with wine!

Like a tempest of hail and a destroying storm,
Like a flood of mighty waters overflowing,
Who will bring them down to the earth with His hand.
The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim,
Will be trampled underfoot
