I call on you, my God, for you will answer me;
turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.
Psalms 17:6 NIV
Isn’t it an amazing thing how we can perceive the depth of someone’s listening skills? They may hear us, but are they truly listening? Do they hear the cry of our heart beyond the words that are spoken? Though, not everyone may be a good listener, there is One who listens well. For, He knows our heart even before we speak. Our Father in heaven gleans our every word, and treasures our time spent with Him. We can sit for hours telling Him our story, or in a moment, cry out to Him in our frustration. His ear never grows dull. God hears. He catches our every syllable, and cradles them close to His heart.
The Lord provides a safe place - a Divine soundboard!
He is listening, truly listening, to the cry of our heart.
It is okay to turn up the volume.
Talk with Jesus.
Prayer
Father,
Forgive me for my frustration with others, and yes, with You, when I think no one is listening to me. I repent of any pride, and lay my frustration at your feet. Time and time again, I have cried out to you. Time and time again the air around me seems still. Lift from me any discouragement. Help me to leave from this moment believing you are listening even when no one else around me seems to hear. Let Your peace fill me, and may I be reassured, You, my God, hear my prayer.
Amen
I waited patiently for the Lord;
he inclined to me and heard my cry.
He drew me up from the pit of destruction,
out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock,
making my steps secure.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and put their trust in the Lord.
Psalm 40:1-3 ESV
Let all who passionately seek you
erupt with excitement and joy over what you’ve done!
Let all your devoted lovers rejoice continually in the Savior, saying,
“How great and glorious is our God!”
Lord, in my place of weakness and need, I ask again:
Will you come and help me?
I know I’m always in your thoughts.
You are my true Savior and hero,
so don’t delay to deliver me now, for you are my God.
Psalm 40:16-17 TPT
