A Guilt Complex

It is an obsession built with the idea of having done wrong.
Guilt has many neighboring thoughts that can form a complex within one’s mind.
The following compartments can easily make up a guilt complex.
Shame.
Blame.
Condemnation.
Worry.
Fear.
Embarrassment.
Insecurity.
Self-reproach.
Accusation.
Regret.
Wrongdoing.
Religion.
Upbringing.
Humiliation.
Remorse.
In all honesty, I have lived within a guilt complex for most of my life. I am very familiar with the residents within the dwelling: shame, blame, condemnation, and the list goes on… According to the accuser of the brethren, I was doomed to live within the walls of guilt, but then I met Jesus, and Jesus had a whole new blueprint for my life…GUILT FREE! He offers freedom for you as well!
Have you built such a complex; maybe, even with the help of others? Are the neighboring sentiments within your thinking reinforcing your guilt? Overtime, an interlocking set of emotions can build, forming a structure: a complex, that will fortify unhealthy thoughts. The obsession of having done wrong will keep residence, until you hand it an eviction notice through your God given authority.
The enemy is quick to step in as the landlord over such a complex of emotions, for unresolved guilt kicks open the door to the proprietor of unrest. Regrettably, it is prime property for the evil one. Under his authority, a building code of remorse is established. Unaware of the scheme of the enemy, we find ourselves living within our guilt complex; that is, until we realize the Lord of all landlords has made a way out.
In Christ, let us take this opportunity to move out!
Come out of hiding.
Tell the Lord everything. (He already knows, anyway.) Confess the fullness of your transgression, and He will prove faithful to forgive the guilt of your sin.
Then I…acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I did not hide. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord [continually unfolding the past till all is told]—then You [instantly] forgave me the guilt and iniquity of my sin. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! Psalm 32:5 AMPC
Draw near to the One who saves.
He will wash over a sincere heart of repentance, fully cleansing a guilty conscience.
Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:22 NIV
Believe that our transgressions have been removed!
As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12 NKJV
Demolish the complex! Eradicate the stronghold!
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:4 NIV
Take captive every obsessive thought !
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV
Move in your God given authority!
Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you. Luke 10:19 AMPC
Make peace with yourself.
The Lord will give [unyielding and impenetrable] strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace. Psalm 29:11 AMPC
Forgive yourself.
But there is forgiveness with You [just what man needs], that You may be reverently feared and worshiped. Psalm 130: AMPC
It’s time to move out of the complex. For you have been found, “Not guilty!”
And this free-flowing gift imparts to us much more than what was given to us through the one who sinned [Adam]. For because of one transgression, we are all facing a death sentence with a verdict of “Guilty!” But this gracious gift leaves us free from our many failures and brings us into the perfect righteousness of God—acquitted with the words “Not guilty!” Romans 5:16 TPT
Jesus, our great High Priest, has established our freedom from guilt.
“When anyone is unfaithful to the Lord by sinning unintentionally in regard to any of the Lord’s holy things, they are to bring to the Lord as a penalty a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value in silver, according to the sanctuary shekel. It is a guilt offering. They must make restitution for what they have failed to do in regard to the holy things, pay an additional penalty of a fifth of its value and give it all to the priest. The priest will make atonement for them with the ram as a guilt offering, and they will be forgiven.” Leviticus 5:15-16 NIV
The Son is the radiance and only expression of the glory of [our awesome] God [reflecting God’s Shekinah glory, the Light-being, the brilliant light of the divine], and the exact representation and perfect imprint of His [Father’s] essence, and upholding and maintaining and propelling all things [the entire physical and spiritual universe] by His powerful word [carrying the universe along to its predetermined goal]. When He [Himself and no other] had [by offering Himself on the cross as a sacrifice for sin] accomplished purification from sins and established our freedom from guilt, He sat down [revealing His completed work] at the right hand of the Majesty on high [revealing His Divine authority]… Hebrews 1:3 AMP
Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help. Hebrews 4:15 MSG
Prayer
Lord,
I accept Your help. I receive Your mercy. Thank You, for Your gracious gift.
In Your power, I move out of the guilt complex, and disassociate with all that is familiar to me within the dwelling of guilt. For You, my Lord, my Great High Priest, have consumed the insatiable guilt within me.
IN CHRIST, I AM GUILT FREE!
In the Name of Jesus, I demolish the stronghold of my guilt complex - once and for all. I condemn it, demanding all condemnation be evicted to the desolate darkness, never again to return.
Emancipated, I walk away from the nagging obsession of guilt! Liberated, my mind is free and clear of the home invasion within my thoughts. I call in complete restoration to my thinking. Father, restore unto me a sanctified imagination.
I leave all baggage behind, and move into the new thing the Lord has in store.
Holy Spirit, dwell within me, and I in You…complex free!
Amen
