Colossians 1:12-14 New King James Version (NKJV)
12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Colossians 1:14
REDEMPTION
Redemption is listed in the Greek segment of the Strong’s Lexicon under 629.
The definition reads: ransom in full, i.e. RIDDANCE, or Christian salvation.
(Riddance is defined as the action of getting rid of something troublesome.)
As I meditated on Colossians 1:14, I felt the Lord spoke the following to my spirit.
“Look up! Receive what is rightfully yours! Release the shackles that are holding you prisoner. Free yourself! Let go! Do a RID DANCE!”
A rid dance, Lord?
“Yes, a RID DANCE!”
A RID DANCE begins with one step at a time allowing the Lord to establish the lead.
1,2,3. 1,2,3. 1,2,3. This dance beckons a decision of the heart to flow with the Spirit of God, allowing Him entrance to the platform of our soul. His cadence sets the pace before us. Step by step, God uncovers what is concealed and brings healing to our troubled soul. His lead is to be trusted. Day after day, the Lord invites us to accompany Him in a RID DANCE of redemption. Will you accept? Shake off the shackles of offense! Stomp out the accusations of the enemy! Whirl about victoriously in your God given identity! Give thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers in the inheritance of the saints.
Prayer
Lord God, I accept Your invitation and partner with you in the RID DANCE of redemption. I acknowledge You as “Lord of the Dance” and invite You on to the platform of my soul. Search me, O God. Rid me of any offensive way, and lead me in Your way everlasting.
I let go of the shackles of offense, and forgive as You have forgiven me. I release myself from the prison I have formed constructed of my every blunder. As the shackles are undone, I step freely into Your plan for my life. I elude bondage and take hold of what is rightfully mine through Christ Jesus. Step by step, I will follow Your lead. Thank You, Father, for redeeming me. In Christ, I will march on, with my eyes fixed on You the author and perfecter of my faith.
Amen
