Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
Revelation 3:20 NKJV
Door - 2374 Strong’s Lexicon - A door, an opportunity
Knock. Knock.
Who’s there?
The Captain of the Host
King of Kings
Lord of Lords
Jesus Christ of Nazareth
is knocking at your door.
He longs to fellowship with you, extending an invitation to sup together.
Will you open the door to Him?
Will you open the door to salvation? Reconciliation?
Will you open the door and encounter the very presence of God?
He is knocking.
He will not break the door down.
He awaits your response.
An opportunity beckons - a door to be open.
Will you open the door to your heart and invite Him in, and allow
Jesus the Messiah to be Lord of your every circumstance?
Prayer
Lord,
Though, I acknowledge You as my Lord and Savior, I have kept You at an arm’s length regarding my circumstances. I admit that we have not dined together in quite sometime. My days seem to overtake my moments with You. Despite the fact that I am a follower of Christ, I have followed my own agenda. My ears have grown faint to Your knocking. Unwittingly, I have allowed the distractions of life to dampen my zeal for You. Tepid. My walk with You has grown lukewarm. I long for the restoration of passion - a passion for my first love. Within this moment, my heart turns to You, choosing to respond to Your knock upon my door.
I rise up, rededicating my life to You. With purpose, I walk across the room of my circumstances resolved to allow You entrance. I choose to swing open the door of resistance and proclaim, “Come, Lord Jesus. Come!”
Dine with me, and I shall dine with You!
You have prepared a table for me. No longer shall I ignore the sound of Your knocking; instead, I take the place You have made ready for me. I invite You to my table. Joy, life, peace, enter as You cross the threshold.
I breathe in the aromatic fragrance of Your presence.
I am humbled.
Thank You.
You kept knocking.
Pursuing Your church.
Pursuing Your bride.
My zeal is fortified by Your pursuit for me.
As I embrace this opportunity to dine with You, may
Your presence in me glow red-hot for the world to see.
My door is wide open.
I invite you in.
Come, Lord Jesus. Come!
Amen and Amen
