Lull…to send to sleep…deceive…hush…fool…hoodwink…dupe.
Who has deceived you?
Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.
1 Corinthians 15:33 AMPC
Awake, you who sleep!
Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.Therefore do not be partakers with them.
Walk in Light
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
Therefore He says:
“Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light.”
Walk in Wisdom
See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ…. Ephesians 5:1-20 NKJV
Keep wide awake!
So then let us not sleep [in spiritual indifference] as the rest [of the world does], but let us keep wide awake [alert and cautious] and let us be sober [self-controlled, calm, and wise]. 1 Thessalonians 5:6 AMP
Alert!
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8
Don’t be lulled nor mislead!
The naive or inexperienced person [is easily misled and] believes every word he hears, But the prudent man [is discreet and astute and] considers well where he is going. Proverbs 14:15 AMP
Prayer
Father,
In the Name of Jesus, I speak exposure over the ways I have been deceived. Please remove the scales from my eyes that I may see clearly. I repent for being mislead, hushed, coming in to agreement with the lies of the enemy. Awaken me from my slumber, O God. Restore Your truth within my inner most being.
My heart cries out, "Awake O my soul!"
I break all agreement with the deceiver, and repent for being duped in the area of ________________________.
Roused from such slumber, no longer shall I be hoodwinked, but awakened, revived!
I choose to walk in the light, in wisdom, alert, redeeming the time.
Though the enemy may prowl around looking to devour me, no longer will I allow him to lull me to sleep, for I have been awakened by the “ROAR!” of the Lion of Judah.
Let the song of the Lord resound deep within me.
For this sleeper is now awake, active, engaged, alert!
The lullaby has been exposed, consumed by the“ROAR!”
from the Lion within me.
Amen
The Lion of the Tribe of Judah…
But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.” Revelation 5:5 NKJV
…will “ROAR!”
The Lord also will roar from Zion,
And utter His voice from Jerusalem;
The heavens and earth will shake;
But the Lord will be a shelter for His people,
And the strength of the children of Israel.
Joel 3:16 NKJV
He will not slumber nor sleep!
I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
Psalm 121:1-4 NKJV
