Weight or wait?
Weight, but wait!
Why are we carrying the burden within if the Lord Almighty is offering to carry it for us?
Think on it?
Are you tired, feeling fatigued, by carrying life’s load in your own strength?
The Lord says, “Come.” “Come to Me.” “I will give you rest.”
Rest…to refresh.
Think on it.
We can trudge through life weighted down, or surrender the weight of our load to the One who has offered to carry it for us. In doing so, though the circumstances around us may not change, the burden of the weight within us will be lifted. Our strength renewed!
Think on it!
Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:28-31 NKJV
Weight or wait?
The choice is yours.
Prayer
Father,
I have carried this burden for so long. It has become a heavy weight within me.
I have thought about it… and today... I choose to accept your invitation.
Today, I come to You. I surrender the weight of this burden, and submit the load of it
in to Your hands. I sigh with great relief in this moment of surrender.
As I wait upon You now, my strength is renewed. I will mount up with wings like eagles!
I will run and not be weary! Walk and not faint! For, I have chosen to wait on the Lord.
The weight of the burden within me has been lifted!
Amen
Blessed be the Lord who carries our heavy loads every day, the True God who is our salvation. Psalm 68:19 The Voice
What a friend we have in Jesus!
What A Friend We Have in Jesus
What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer. Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer. Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer. Do your friends despise, forsake you? Take it to the Lord in prayer! In His arms He’ll take and shield you; you will find a solace there. Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised Thou wilt all our burdens bear May we ever, Lord, be bringing all to Thee in earnest prayer. Soon in glory bright unclouded there will be no need for prayer Rapture, praise and endless worship will be our sweet portion there.
